Upgrading a 3rd part Warranty to an Audi Warranty

Post by GardinerG » Fri Sep 21, 2007 2:38 pm

I have a 3rd party warranty on my 2003 RS6 Avant that's ok, but I would quite like to change to an Audi one (to keep life simple).

I get a call today saying that my dealership is willing to pay for the MPI to enable me to get the warranty (providing I pay to fix the issues they find if any), but then they tell me the cost...

£2,739 for 12 months!  Yes, I've double checked this, and it's because it currently has no Audi cover.

Then I'm told that there's no VAT to pay though. 8)
(this is for a named parts only, no roadside assistance, capped mileage on a 4 year old car with only 40k miles on the clock).

I thought I would share my amazement!
