Warranty from Car2cover

Hi guys,

Just having a look around out of curiosity for a warranty for my S4.

Looking at car2cover.co.uk the prices seem reasonable. BUT as im always sceptical about after market warranties...are they worth the money?

Do things have to physically be destroyed before theyll even consider replacing them?

Anyone heard of car2cover?

Anyone successfully claimed for turbos or dashboards going faulty?

Cheers guys.

Any thoughts guys? Got a few weeks to decide before the S4 gets to its 7th birthday..which is the cut off point.

Prices look good, but what does the smallprint say...?

What is and isn't covered?

Things normally have to fail completely in my experience.

Also, what is the maximum single claim?

Yup, as per pretty much any aftermarket warranty...parts have to FAIL.

Claim limit is up to the value of the vehicle. http://www.car2cover.co.uk/platinum_warranty.php

It looks the best price out there for the cover....but is it worth it?? Ie if a turbo goes....what is their definition exactly? probably catastrophic failure.

Am still tempted to buy one years cover for a bit more piece of mind.

That's a good claim limit though. Quite often it is say around £1000. No good if it's an engine out job as your spend is blown before the job starts.

If you feel the company can be trusted and the small print isn't too riddled, £325 for unlimited claims up to value of thecar is worth a go in my book.

Will you be managing to keep the car stock? No point having a warranty on a modified car in my view - just a nice easy get out clause for them.
