DRC and Motorcare Warranties

Post by GardinerG » Wed Sep 12, 2007 9:27 am

My car's DRC system requires 2 rear shocks plus the central valves replacing. (Rear shocks leaked, central valves too low pressure and require replacing). Motorcare warranties are basically refusing to replace the central valves and I'm left facing a bill of £1500 to have it done myself. The suspension is an insured item and I left thinking WTF!?!

The failure of the suspension was noticed due to the clanking of the valves, hence they are the cause of the problem (IMHO).

Is there anything I can or should do? Advice appreciated. I'm sorely tempted to take legal advice but I wonder what my chances of getting anywhere with this are?

P.s. I am already looking at moving to an Audi warranty!

P.p.s If I don't get anywhere with this I will be putting the money to better use and get PSS9s fitted.

Read thriough the small print to see if they are specifically excluded. Then ask your garage to make a statement that this is a failure rather than normal wear and tear.

That's the problem with aftermarket warranties, too many loopholes. The Audi/Mondial ones are pretty bullet proof IMHO.

Hope you get it sorted.
