nurburgring insurance ?

Post by EDDY,G » Mon Jul 23, 2007 6:43 pm

just after some feedback on insurance for the nurburgring ! reading ben lovejoys ring website it says that tecknically the ring is just a public toll road ! and with my first trip over at end of month i needed to make sure im insured !! so i phoned up everet bowls track insurers. they quoted me £490 for 2 days one the "ring" but with a wopping £3500 exess :x not really happy about paying that if my own insurers will cover me .. so i phoned my insurers and told them that a friend of mine had told me that i may not be insured on some deresticted german toll roads (obviosely not mentioning the nurburgring in particular) luckly for me it was a woman who took the call ! i made sure that they knew i would be traveling on some derestricted toll roads ! she put me on hold and came back and said that i "was" insured for deresticted toll roads .i got a ref no for the conversation to back me up if things go bad ! ..so would you go the safe option and pay the £490 for propper track insurance? or would you just go with my current insurers ?

thanks in advance for any feedback ! eddy
