MILLTEK MILLTEK MILLTEK MILLTEK MILLTEK MILLTEK MILLTEK

Post by RSVI » Tue Mar 06, 2007 11:27 am

This post is over due but here goes.

Got a Milltek exhaust fitted by a local garage and it wasn't fitted in the best way.

Anyway phoned up Milltek asking for advice and they said they had a fitting service.

Well, day off and 3 hrs drive in the RS6..... why not.

Dropped it off and 2 hrs later it was done.

Really nice guys up there, had a cuppa when I got there, gave me a full tour of the factory/workshop and made the visit worthwhile.

When the car was done and it was ready to leave I asked how much i owed them. Thinking it took 2 hrs+ I was expecting at least £80 if not nearer £120.
I was told this was done as goodwill.

They knew all the details, 2nd hand, fitted by another garage etc but they didn't want to charge. They just wanted me to be happy.

Anyway, the bottom line is, I give Milltek and there guys 100% surport in the future. When ever I'm going to be in the Exhaust market again, if they make it I'll get it from Milltek.

Milltek for me have beena pleasure to deal with and recomend them to anyone.

Benn there and had exactly the same treatment.
Without a doubt this is a company proud of a well earned reputation.

I was down to see those nice folk at the Milltek Factory in Ilkeston on Thursday gone to have the Cat Back Box fitted. I too was delighted with the whole service they provided, and the final fit of the exhaust / tailpipes is perfect.......pleasure doing business with Phil and Dave.

Nice to see some people give/receive good service!

I have a poorly fitted Milltek Dual with really poor quality rusty clamps, but it was on the car when I bought it. I asked Milltek about the clmps and he fitting and at first they said they would gt it on the ramp and check it and fit new better quality clamps... I thought this was top service still expecting to pay for the clamps, but then they said as I was nt the purchaser of the pipe then they wanted to charge me to get it on the ramps....

Ah well I will probably buy the clamps and fit them/the pipe better when the warmer weekends arrive!

Weather was warm and I couldn't see how I would get it to fit, so I gave in and went to Milltek...

All I can say is that their service was great. As I had no idea which garage on Sesame Street had fitted the pipe (no info forthcoming from previous owner) they made a charge, but not much at all.

I'm happy as I felt that they were a company that were interested in their customers (even an indirect customer like myself). This service is rarer than hens teeth ....

Top marks!

A big Thank You to Charlie at Milltek who is Head of something or other there (I forget what, sorry Charlie :) ).

I have been more than happy with my Non-Res catback apart from the droning which is noticable cruising and/or when I am in a chilled mood. I thought to speakk to Milltek in case there was a known fix for reducing the resonances whilst keeping the thunderous burble outside!

Without a murmur he has arranged for Resonated midsections to be sent to my nearest Milltek-approved garage to have them swapped out on Thursday. I only have to pay half the price difference which I am more than happy with. Generous gesture as it was my own fault for not finding a Non-Res'd 6 to test drive before stumping up the readies!

Thanks Charlie. Excellent Customer Service.
