Hi all

Anyone managed to get these off without damage?

Any useful tips?

Be warned they can be a right B****r so don't expect to do this quickly as patience will very possibly be required. I used a combination of rotating the sensor while prising gently out of the upright and they took me rather a long time.

Some come out easy and some are a – well you can guess.

Definitely an evening with a beer and good music job.

Good luck!

That's what I thought. I had a go the other weekend and they would not even rotate.

I think a few applications of WD40 will be required.

No, they generally break when you attempt to twist or pull them out.

You may be lucky !

I guess I must of been lucky then as managed to get both rears out of my MY2000, soaked them overnight with 'Break Free' then with wrapped a strip of gaffer tape around the barrel(?) and locked on a small pair of mole grips. gentle twisting / prising eventually had them out - bugger of a job. Before putting them back cleaned up the hole with emery and gave them a good lube with silicone grease.
