Dealership experience in the Southeast : Where to go?

Post by richardofthesun » Sat Oct 28, 2006 7:12 pm

Can anyone reccommend a dealer for support/service in the southeast. My local dealer is Brighton, but they were so unhelpful in arranging a test drive I ordered from further afield. I'm on the road daily ± 100 miles from Brighton so can afford to look elsewhere. Any advice, experiences appreciated.

Don't talk to me about Brighton. :bash:
Have you tried Crawley?
Got mine from Shrewsbury, a completely different attitude, even if there were 200miles away.

I live 3 miles from Southampton Audi, but I have bought my last 5 Audis from Camberley Audi.

Parts are top notch at Southampton Audi but sales and service are not great (when I stopped right outside the showroom in a 2 day old RS4 Avant while going to their parts guys not one of the sales guys even raised their eyes from their screens!).

Portsmouth Audi parts are rubbish - I sat there for 20 minutes one day waiting for them to bring the parts I had ordered and paid for and theat they rang me 20 minutes earlier to say were ready to collect. Have no experience of their sales and service.

I'm still waiting for the phone call I was promised from Basingstoke Audi in January 2003 to order an S4 Avant!

Ridgeway Audi in Newbury have been fantastic!

Give Peter Little a call and he will help you out. Tell him Phil (just bought RS 4) has recommended him.

I have recieved good competitive service from Sidlow Audi at Horley with my audi's over the past few years. Caffyns have don some work for me at the Dyke Road site but did not find them as helpful. Sidlow's No. is 01293 772566. A colleague at work has used Crawley Audi and did not think that they were great!

Hope that they will live up to my comments and not dissappoint

Sorry, forgot to mention that Kim Collins of QST at Haywards Heath also does routine servicing work I believe

Interesting thread - maybe we should have "rate the dealer" system.

Currently having a nightmare with Crawley Audi- see thread here for info.

Had the car for 10 days already, won't give any estimnate when it will be ready - are only working on it periodically - and had accident while on road test......

Give me back my RS6!!
