Dealer's Dialogue system - getting printouts

I went to my local dealer to try and get a print out of all the info on my car from the Dialogue system.

They said they can't look into the dealership data from another franchise. Is that correct?

My concern is I made the cambelt change a condition of sale and the selling dealer assured my they had done it. When talking to another dealer about the impeding service he said there is no record of the cambelt being done on Dialogue. They made no mention of not being able to see another dealerships data.

So one dealer says it hasn't been done with no mention of not being able to see the data. Another says its not possible to see the data and I don't feel I can trust the original dealer as there is too much at stake if they have made a 'mistake' :?

Can anyone here clear up whether Dialogue is a national unrestricted database? Working in IT I know its technically possible, but could understand if Audi segregate the data.

Is it time for a call to orginal dealer or just go straight to Audi CS?

When I asked for previous history on some earlier non routine work they had to get it faxed across from the other dealer rather than print out locally, so I guess it is dealer specific, does seem strange though, as when I have had routine service's performed I don't always use the same dealer, and when I go to another one they can see the record of work performed by each other.
Maybe there are two systems

working for a dealer i can confirm that dialogue wont tell u if a cambelt has been done as we only "dialogue" on services as that is all the manufacturer requirs ie the service history of a car to keep it in warranty or goodwill , be it not cheap and a manufacturer recomendation , be it that they are wrong and we change them early and bloody expensive(i have one myself, thats why i started working for audi he he )its not a requirment . so the only way to find out is to see an invoice.
sorry mate
but any further help needed please dont hesitate to ask
