Insurance Forum

Post by PhilT » Tue Feb 25, 2003 5:41 pm

I spent some time on the phone with Jon today, and it looks like he can save us all some money on our insurance. I am a firm believer that if anybody on here is involved in a line of business which we can promote, and is for the good of the users, then we should have a special place for them.... Hence the Insurance Forum.

Jon has offered to 'keep an eye' on this forum and try to answer as much as he can; which to be honest, there don't seem to be a lot he can't.

I suppose I had better introduce myself then. Although I am generally looking for commercial property and liability clients I am more than willing to snout out some good deals for the people from this forum, as they will more than likely know what they want rather than the hoards of 17 year olds wanting a quote for an MR2 or a GSi knowing full well that it will cost then more than the cars worth.

Anyway, I have been an insurance broker for 10 years+ and now own my own brokerage (lockyer insurance. Leave your questions in this forum and I will check them most days to see if anything new has turned up. If it's urgent, or you want a quote, give me a bell on 01924 895568.

Oh by the way I am also putting together a cheap, but comprehensive UK & European breakdown package for the members of this forum.

Cheers!

Hi Jon,
I`ve been a company car driver for over 3 years but it seems that every insurance company i can get insured with wont take this in to consideration any idea`s why?

Im 22 and have zero no claims yet, really feel its a uphill battle these days trying to build them up.

I used to be insured under somebody else`s policy so i could drive my S3 but i managed to get insurance from egg for £1720. i know its my age and type of car etc but if they accepted my 3years company car driving i would be paying alot less help! There are a few options open to you give me a bell on 01924 895568 during office hours and I'll go through them with you. In the meantime see if you can get a letter from your boss saying that you have had 3 years driving company vehicles without crashing them.
