Very sound advice.................oh and if the budget stretches, try making it a soft top so she feels really special. :biggrin2:

Right.

a) Buy a load of Dynomat and sound deaden the car to feck.
b) Get your gearbox oil changed and short shift adjusted.
c) Find the number of a decent paintless repairer for the dents and let her park it where ever she wants.

Job done.

We bought the Mrs a Polo. I drive it for the daily commute and bring the RS out on special occasions now. Save the insurance/finance costs for the Polo in petrol each month now

How about you offer to buy her an 8 year old micra...take her to test drive it and everything...she might realise how good she's got it then :D

PS I think this problem come from the US, there significant others feel free to bitch about their spouse's car even when they have their own. A mate always registers his stupidest cars in his wife's name, so she is the 'owner' of a Gordon Keeble and a 356.

Thinking along the lines of DaveP - sabotage the dishwasher and washing machine. That should keep her quiet for a while. Turning the stop valves off normally throws them, or if that's too obvious just turn the hot one off.

Bjacks like your thinking ive already got some dynamat just not got round to fitting it,i also wasnt sure how the trim inside the tailgate came off short of being brutal.how do you adjust the shortshift kit?the gearbox itself is tip top never crunched etc its just firm to select when cold as they all are,the bodywork is mint shes more worried about telling me when it isnt if you know what i mean,do you think changing the gearbox oil will help?will it have been done on any normal services?Jeeves ive got your suggestion covered hes called toby and finds it highly amusing to sabotage all the appliances ha ha he opened the dishwasher door to stand on so he could see me out the window laughing his little head off the wife wasnt amused doh

Looks like a second car is the answer Rich......theres piles of <beep> out there she can take her pick from......couple of weeks in a banger and the RS4 will seem like Nirvana once again.

You might also have a claim for mental torture......go see a solicitor with a veiw to starting court action.

Point out that the Miltek is the PRADA of the exhaust world

If all the above fails, resort to good old fashioned violence......remember Z tolerance....Domestic abuse theres always an excuse :beerchug:
Cheers fc
