Unless you are absolutely sure you know what the problem is, I would get it recovered to a dealer asap. Call Audi and see what your options are, I would think that you don't need to go to the dealership that you bought it from....

went to a dealer today they heard the noise, they then got in contact with the dealer that sold me the car to see if they will do the work which is needed, which that told me is either a turbo or gearbox prob either way very pricey as i was told, am awaiting call from lancaster Audi to see what they r going to do

Hissing-------------gearbox--------------BS

Total pants, sounds like a blown hose, leaking intercooler from stone hit, DV's dont hiss, they dump boost back into the system internally, or as pointed out, failing turbo, but they usually whine rather than hiss. The real question would be, is there any fall off in performance???

And have they simply checked the boost pressure.
Do they even know how to use vag com .
These dealers are hard work.
Were they sure it was not the engine rather that the gear box or the turbos.
When it is the engine ,turbos or box they usually tell you it is your imagination.
Most lightly a hose is leaking or the dv's, if it is the dv's or a hose it usually has an initial rushing noise and a pits noise on deceleration then it fades the faster you go.
Keep us informed.
If you do get a new box and turbos well done.
