Anybody know if Admiral are any good?

I have been looking for quotes for my A8 4.2 quattro sport and have been able to get a quote of £731.

My renewal from Elephant was going to be £860 (down from £994 last year)

The cheapest I had got before that was Bell Direct £758 (part of Admiral anyway I believe) so thought I would try Admiral direct and it paid off.

One thing that concerns me with Elephant is that on a Full Comp policy I dont get third party cover on another vehicle (you know when a mate asks you to drive his car for him) I am not entilted to this until i'm 25 with elephant (24 now). The situation cropped up a couple of times last year and it was a pain.

Have tried Tesco and Adrian Flux and they wanted over £1000. Any Ideas?

I've been with Admiral for about 5 years I think...they've been good, no problems - I used their 10 month 'accelerator' policy for the first few years (you get a years no claims for a 10 month policy).

Still pretty reasonable for my RS4 (1k mark).
