Phoned my insurance company to get a quote on an engine mod - Chip, exhaust,Turbo's & suchlike. They laughed at me & said more chance of finding a three legged balerina - in otherwords NO! we won't insure it's too risky. . So does anyone know any good insurance companies that like taking risks or does everybody just keep quiet & pretend they have standard s4's ???????

Not disclosing mods to your insurer means you run the risk of being un-insured, so the only sensible advice is to inform them.
Try greenlight 01277 263 030. They are mod friendly and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Privilegwe/Directline will cover you, but increase the premium dependent on the % increase in power.

Lucas - search this forum and you'll find a shortlist of Mod friendly insurers.
When you get your quote insist that they send you a letter summarising the modifications you declare. Peace of mind and removed ambiguity in the case of a claim.
Good luck.
