50k service costs for an S4

Post by stan » Wed Oct 15, 2003 8:11 am

Hi.

Can anyone tell me a typical cost of the 50k service on an S4 ? It's a T reg and had a major service at 40k when I bought it. The dealer (HWM Audi, Walton) quoted £300 so I wanted to check if that was typical. Seems expensive to me when all they'll probably do is change the oil.

Correct - after the 40K you should only get an interim oil service - just over £100 if they supply the oil.

Depends if it's an Annual Inspection or not.
Lube service is about £100 but all they do is change the oil.
Annual Inspection is more like £200 and "apparently" they do the full check over, and change the oil.
So £300 seems a bit steep unless you're having any other fluids changed (brake etc).

Cheers

Ben
