I have now decided to look at an Audi S4 Avant rather than the RS2 as I originally stated, however, I am puzzled by the insurance quotes I have received.

Can anyone tell me (perhaps Jon) why it is cheaper to insure the RS4 than an S4 Avant?
Can anyone recommend an insurer offering good premiums?

My cheapest quote up to press is with Tesco.com who insure my current car.
With protected no claims and no voluntary excess, 35yrs old and wife 34yrs old, garaged in a reasonable postcode (LS21) I have been quoted about £750 for the S4 Avant (can't afford to purchase the RS4 at the moment. [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I am with elephant. I am 29 and my girfriend is 23, the premium is £666 for my S4 saloon

Bell-Direct gave me the best quote at around £640. 33yo with 26yo missus also insured. Street parked with no additional security
They are part of Admiral, as are Elephant.
They even accept mods - wheels £36, suspension £46, etc...

got me stumped!
