Anyone know how much brake fluid the RS4 system holds as I would like to carry out a full system flush and refill.

Not sure about the RS4 but the S4 takes about a litre to flush as recommended by an Audi tech and carried out by myself.
I'd buy two litres to be safe. It's only £5/litre for the Audi/VAG DOT 4.

£45 a litre?
I had my brake fluid changed by the Audi center when it was recently in for a AV service at 21000 miles. Apparently it needs changed every 2 years.
The labour was £38.50 and the fluid £5.10. The part no was B0000700A3 It did not give quantity.
What did they charge £45 a liter for? What have they put in my car?
For interest the total cost was £257.74 inc VAT. This included oil at £72.80 +vat. (7 litres?)
Apart from the oil cost, which I know is expensive, I was very happy with cost and service.

I did not use standard Audi DOT4 fluid.
I used Castrol SRF (extremely high boiling point)
I might spot you next week as I am staying near Inverary

AMD used Halfords own DOT 5.1 in my car (I supplied it as i had a couple of spare litres of the stuff) and it was about £7 a litre - £45 quid???? I do not get brake fade on track so I am unsure of the benefit of using a 'named' brand when it costs £45!!!
but then again I dont know much about these things

I just checked my first AMD invoice and they charged me £25 quid all in for 2.5 Litres of DOT 5.1, so not sure why you paid £45 quid PaulS3 (unless they dropped a litre on the floor or something )

thinking about it, i wasnt charged for brake fluid, when i had them removed from my old S3. Maybe thats why they charged twice when they fitted the porsche back on to new one...
or it could be that they had to flush out the dot 4 first.
havent a clue. its done and paid for now.

I don't get brake fade on the track using dot 4 fluid in my Porsche set up so I'm unsure of the benefits of using dot 5.1!!
