I want to buy one - please help!

Hi everyone,
im new here and joined as i want to ask you all out there the following question:

i am extremely keen on buying a 2006 B7 RS4 with 150,000km on the clock and most service history.
You will know better than me... should i take a risk and buy the car?
I am so worried about parts failing and the astronomical costs associated to the replacement thereof.

what can you recommend?
should i take the risk?
do they as a general, NOT BREAK DOWN or are they prone to routine failures of all sorts?

Full check of the history needed.
This forum has a catalogue of issues that could be present, so you are aware of the extremes...
Check for cheap mods - thats all they are. The car spec was awesome as it came out of the factory!


Big ticket items: DRC suspension can fail. Oil cooler/pipes. Aux rad.
Less so: Discs/pads/tyres all expensive.

Carbon clean - performance improvement but not a cause for a failure.
