New B7 RS4 Owner clutch switch question

Hi All
I’m new to RS4 owner ship having only owned S4’s in the past, so far I am enjoying it but I appear to have a common issue.
On the second day of owner ship the car didn’t start immediately and I had to hold the start button down, this has been the same on all cold starts since. I also notice that gear changes at low speed feel odd like I’m engaging the clutch whilst still under a lot of load ( it’s hard to explain what I mean but it’s just hard to make it smooth)
Cruise control works fine so I suspect the lower clutch sensor maybe failing or failed
Subsequent starts work first time on the start button so I don’t know if that’s an issue
The car has a dealer warranty so I can take it back but it’s a long way from home so for the sake of a £20 switch I’d just change it myself if that sounds like it’s what it is
