Is 227,000 miles the highest mileage RS product on the road? After 16 years of ownership I have decided to chop my beloved 2004 car in for a new one.
It was chipped at 40,000 miles to 530bhp delimited and had a Miltec exhaust. Still has original engine, gearbox though the plastic cam chain guides broke at 160,000 miles which required the heads off and some bent valves replacing. R conned the g/box and turbos at the same time. Just totted up all the bills and have spent £60k on tyres and maintenance which is £4k a year plus the fuel. Still 227,000 smiles it has to be worth it. Sorry to see it go to Auction

That's the highest mileage I've seen on a C5, respect due for keeping the faith

Think I'd be very tempted to put it into storage if it's still a good example, you're probably only going to get buttons for it at auction. After 16 years of ownership it's got to be worth more to you than anyone else...

GLWS if that's how you go though.

I wa tempted to keep it like my Lotus Carlton regret selling that as prices are now through the roof but there is a limit and i believe cars have to be used. Not so sure about the new 2020 one, all buttons its like going from a Nokia 6310 to an Iphone but so smooth, cannot wait till its run in, then Miltek for me and a tow bar.
