What is option C86???

Post by Dannyboy123 » Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:01 am

I've just bought a new RS4 carbon black and one of the options in my Audi is C86...anyone know what this means? There is no description with it. Does anyone else have this on their myaudi App? I have found 'C86 - General operating permit, alterations' Still non the wiser - doesnt mean anything to me.

Erm, they are light weight drum brakes not just any old drummers    .

Audi uk finally got back to me about C86...this is their response.

the PR code C86 (General Operating Permit, Alterations) is an essential part of the approval procedure and is issued in Germany by the KBA. With this certificate, the authority confirms to the carmaker that its tested model is compliant with valid regulations and can be approved for use on public highways.

This means that the vehicle has been approved and has the valid regulations to be driven
