Audi transmission in Limpo mode

Post by FaisalRs6c5 » Wed Jan 22, 2020 3:15 pm

Hi guys,

I am new here i own an Rs6 c5 recently i had loads of issues with wiring and fuel lines took 2 months to sort it. Later when it was sorted i drove the car it was fine initially but after few miles the transmission went in limp mode and wont shift to second gear.
Now i have shown the car to A transmission expert he says its electrical issue and the code i am getting is voltage low 30 etc.

My car did took a very long crank to fire up for first few times. Battary was weak indeed.

Can a bad battery cause the transmission to go into limp mode.

Your help and guidance are welcome.

Regards

Faisal.

Have you run a VCDS scan? My first suspicion would be the F125 switch, unless the actual gearbox has been behaving oddly in a way that suggests something internal.

The transmission is recently rebuild by Dexol. They recon its electrical issue. Now i am thinking of installing a new battery and seeing whats what.

make sure your wirings are installed and grounded properly that's the common problem in replacing a new battery or better to take it to audi specialist to give you a real time advise
