Coding central locking

Post by bennn » Sat Jun 16, 2018 7:36 am

Hi guys.

My RS4 has been fitted with a cobra canbus alarm system so there isn't any extra fobs etc it just uses the standard one.

When I open the car pressing unlock once opens the drivers door and pressing it again unlocks the rest.

Does anyone know if this can be changed so it all unlocks on one press?

Guessing it can be coded?!

Cheers

Ben

Where you based ? You could ask on here if someone local to you has the lead and willing to code it for you ? I'm not sure if the cheap eBay clone leads are capable of doing it .Failing that it would have to be a garage . Two minute job .I have Vagcom .

Cheers for the offer mate, I did get your PM but I'm the other end of the country - based in Shrewsbury and happy to sort someone out with a few beer tokens if they will look into it for me! :)

Have a look here - http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.ph ... tem#Coding
Basically you just need to deduct 4 from what is already coded for your central convenience / comfort system.
I did mine a good while go.
I'm in the North West so probably a bit far from you but drop me a PM if you fancy travelling for an hour or so.

Cheers for the advice and offer mate - probably easier if I just nip it to a specialist or something though.

Just as a thought, is the software expensive? I used to use Carly for coding on my M3 but it isn't available for the B7 by the looks of it.
