RS specialist in Ireland

Post by Stiggles » Sat Dec 30, 2017 5:27 pm

Good afternoon folks,

Trying to locate an experienced specialist for RS cars in Ireland, North or south doesn't matter providing they know their stuff.

Looking to have a C6 RS maintained properly as such, it runs perfect however being a prevention is better than cure kind of owner I would like to have the car checked by a knowledgeable individual.

Any help is appreciated, ideally I'd like to not have to take a trip to the UK for maintenance.

Cheers
Richy

A few on here use Terry McEvoy (McEvoy Motors) based at Carryduff. Not far outside Belfast.Good mechanic, knows his way around RS models & is good to deal with.

Cheers Pete I'll be sure to call in and speak to him.

The RS6 is closing in on 150k miles and has yet to have the gearbox oil changed so that will be getting seen to very soon as it's something I personally want done even if Audi don't think it's required.

It's had most other maintenance done bar the dreaded oil seal that is a bitch to replace so hopefully the boys in McEvoy's have experience with that particular job.

I would recommend Eugene Walsh, Walsh Motors in anderstown belfast. knows his stuff and much easier to pay than Audi, drives a new RS6 himself. Has ad many RS4's in as well as my own.

I've not used him myself but I know plenty of the big boy toys that take part in the yearly cannonball use Ken Plant in robinhood industrial estate. Seems to be an impressive outfit so he could help.
