Hi ,
Haven't been on here for a long time but would like a bit of advice regarding Finance . Brought a A1 for my daughter and only took the finance as they were throwing in free servicing for two years . If I cancel the finance within 14 days ( has only been 3 days) she mentioned would lose the free servicing deal .Is there a way of keeping the servicing deal without paying the extortionate interest rate on the finance .

My understanding is that if you cancel within 14 days, the dealer loses their 'incentive' from Audi which is probably why they are being a little difficult. I think legally, you can though as they can't 'incentivise' you to use their finance.
Otherwise, if you wanted to be nice to the sales woman, you could just request a settlement figure in a months time and clear it. That way you'll only have paid interest on one months payment.

As above - don't tell the dealer you are going to cancel the finance! They won't like you admitting that up front. Sent you a pm.

I hate to break it too you but you prob could have got a better deal on the car (a bigger saving than on the free servicing) if you negotiated on paying for the car up front. Friend of mine got offer 2k towards deposit on car. They wouldn't budge on price. Managed to negotiate 5.5k discount on price without finance.

That might be true with other manufacturers, and independents who like cash, but at Audi it's all finance finance finance. They make more money on the finance than they do margin on the car.

This. Always better deals available with finance on audi due to manufacturer contributions. If you are a cash buyer, take the finance deal then clear it.

Maybe this is different dealer to dealer as it was an Audi he bought.

Thanks for the replies . We brought a used approved car so maybe the margins are smaller ?? They wouldn't really budge that much on price ( when I told them I was buying outright ) so I thought I would take out the finance and get the two free services and cnx within the 14 days . I will ask for a settlement figure instead at least I can say I DID take out the finance if they start to get funny about it .
Thanks again .

Double check the small print to make sure it does not say the free services are only valid whilst there is a balanced owed on the car.

It doesn't - it's not allowed to under FCA ruling
Any dealer that tells you it does is bullshitting
