B7 RS4 50k mile service cost from Audi - seems high?

Guys,
Looking to put the car in for a service at 55k miles - at 50k miles Audi asked if it needed the spark plugs doing (I said that they should tell me) - in the end they didn't do the plugs but it DID actually need them I later found out #thedicks
So - I've been quoted £700 ish from Audi Bristol - just seems steep to me.
£404 service
£249 spark plugs
£54 pollen filter
£707 Total
Does this seem right to anyone?
Thanks muchly.

Audi are such rip off merchants! £249 is silly for plugs. I got quoted £345 for an oil and filter change so that seems high too

Thanks Chris, they didn't seem like they were into having a conversation about it and didn't have a little rental car until April!

They'll do you a deal usually. Pretty sure I paid around £500 including plugs. JCT600 group.
If it makes you feel any better it's £530 for an oil change and filter on a little four cylinder AMG. Makes Audi v8's seem cheap! Fuel economy is no better either with half the engine size, lol

Can you not supply your own oil & plugs?
Think I paid for £65 for a set of 8 plugs off eBay.
Oil you can get here for a good price:

My local dealer (Southend) have no issues with me supplying the above.

That's dear, you should at least get fixed price service due to the age of car (major service £645)
I stuck mine into Glasgow Audi last week for oil & filter service except I supplied the oil from Opie Oils. Charged £238 from Audi for (interim) eng service & replace brake fluid.
Oil from Audi is charged at about £160, same Castrol oil from Opie £72....no brainer
Can't really complain...no BS when I went to pick it up either
You can check fixed price service charge on Audi website, by putting your reg plate no in to fixed price tab

If the car isn't in warranty, why take it back to a main dealer? Half the time they have some trainee mechanic who will work on it and do stuff wrong....
Save some money and find a good indi specialist who has good prices and known what they are doing.

Just as an example on what I said above: my previous s4 had a dsg error come up. Huddersfield Audi had no idea what the problem was and reccomended a new gearbox (£9k).
Took it to a local Audi independent specialist who within 20 mins had diagnosed it was a circuit board fault which Audi sell a repair kit for as it's a common problem. I can't remember the final bill as he did a few other bits for me but it was under £1.5k
Audi dealers are usually <beep> when it comes to servicing, both on price and quality of service.

I think it's fair to say that's expensive,
Out of interest I've got a service booked for the end of the month at Audi, the price was fixed at £345 plus £80 for brake fluid change.
I asked if I could supply my own oil, they said no problem. This took £176 off the price I bought the oil from Opie for £54. All in £303.

Audi dealers are stealers. Better off with a recommended Audi specialist. I use an Audi specialist in Edinburgh who uses all genuine Audi parts and all work keeps Audi warranty valid if in warranty obviously. My RS4 service was £300 cheaper than Audi dealer for same parts and work. Also my wife was quoted £421 by Audi dealer for 1st service on her 2016 Audi A3 1.4 S Line which I refused to pay instead taking it to Audi specialist who done same work using same parts for £123. Even got pair of Continental tyres fitted for less than Audi wanted just for service.
They even charge around £100 more for a service for newer cars less than 3 years old compared to same car which is older than 3 years old. How do they justify that?
