I'd really appreciate the Forums advice on the following:

I'm in my late 40's and am considering buying a 2015 RS6 from an Audi dealer. The car has a great spec. and I've negotiated a price of £60,000. My questions are:

1. How do owners usually pay for their cars, PCP or buy outright. Which is better when you're spending this much on a car?

2. If finance, should I choose Audi or another provider?

3. Should I expect to keep the car forever or am I likely to get tired of it / it's running costs and want rid of it? How long have you had your cars for and what do you intend to do with them eventually?

4. What should I expect to pay on servicing and maintenance each year, assuming I do 12,000 miles per year?

5. If I keep the car for 3 years, will it have depreciated by 50%?

6. Is there anything else I should know?

I don't own an RS6 but I do own an S4.

1. I think how people pay for their cars is up to them. You end up paying more via HP or PCP, but could save if you want to change the car once 50% of balance has been paid. Ultimately it's your choice.

2. Shop around. Audi will likely give you some freebies by going though them.

3. Your call on this. You may get ride after 2 years, or love it and not wait to swap till the next RS6 is announced. You may want rid once warranty is over. Only you can answer that.

4. All depends. Style of driving? Will you eat tyres and breaks? Audi should be able to tell you servicing costs, roughly. As for non service parts like breaks etc. Well that will depend on how you drive.

5. Who knows. Take a guess. Look after it well to maximise the future value.

6. Once the car is out of warranty (if you keep it that long) find a good independent specialist to maintain it. It will save you money plus the good ones are better than most dealers.
