And a thank you to boot! Makes it all worth while. You know what makes me laugh, R/S4 owners rattling in zillions of numbers in-to build sites instead of getting paid ££ working when for £7 erwin can do it, sorry but it's funny!

Can you post an exploded diagram of the steering column please? I had a joint replaced under warranty due to play and have been wondering if there is only one or more.

I don't think it's what it is for? I can get diagnostics using VAS, workshopmanuals (inc steering) and product info.
iirc, years ago when did IT at a VAG dealer was it no ETKA for that?
edit I'll give this a whirl at some point have got a few J2534 interfaces:

This information is only available within the diagnostic software while a diagnostic session is ongoing

iic elsawin and etka were for workshop/spares unless they've been made amalgamated.
