I've got a lot of work to do...

Jumped into the S4 (b6) to drive home from work this evening, at around 2,500 rpm I had a terrible rattle! Sounds like cam adjusters have worn beyond acceptable levels or a guide has let go. I also had cam shaft related fault codes present. So parked it back in the workshop and drove my courtesy car home.

Guess I'll be knee deep in Audi bits for the next week or two! To top it all off the 4 post that was put in on Friday is still not operational. So I'm a ramp down & a little stressed. Any mechanics on here who have already undertaken this job, please let me know any hints or tips.

Guess I should check the cam adjusters first before I think about pulling the lump out?

A beer and a bath is needed.
B6 S4 Avant in Dolphin grey, manual with resonated Milltek, MMI and full black leather, parking sensors, carbon interior trim & glove box fridge?
