Warranty Direct - at it again!

Post by R56WUF » Thu Sep 25, 2014 2:22 pm

Only had the car since March and that's the third warranty claim approved, again without any fuss :)

I'll have a new car by the time the policy is over! :beerchug:
2004 C5 RS6 - Missano Red (the fastest colour...) - Departed
2004 C5 RS6 - Sprint Blue (the prettiest colour...) - Poorly

You can beat them up on price, it doesn't hurt to try

It's dependant on milage and mine had a full inspection by them before them agreeing to take it on

I got mine for 1200 for 24 months, I did this as I did not know the history of reliability when I bought the car, I've claimed £360 and have 12 months remaining

i been speaking to them this morning and half way threw conversation it was cut short...she asked if it has been modified lol no i said but theres a remap on the way...ohh she says we cant cover the engine if thats the case..i stated it was,nt a power remap and all i would gain was maybe 10bhp it was more to make car drive better.....can you hold a minute till i speak to supervisor.....she came back, no we cant cover engine at all....ok bye!! lol.....is there warranty companys that do cover you more remaps etc that are just as good as warranty direct?? be interesting to see what warrantys other people have.

Did you give them all your details? If you didn't just start again, if you blew your engine your not going anyway fast, take the car home remove ECU and reset to OEM

If you gave them your details ring them back and say you have reconsidered the remap and decided against it...... Then you .... If you get where I am coming from

I'm the same, but it works out at £815 a year for a three year policy on a 10 year old RS6!

Well its all about risk, if you did not cover it then guaranteed you would have lots of probs and paying out left right and centre, its peice of mind, and on the whole I think WD are fair

So providing you beat them up on the price and your happy thats all that matters

Good Luck and enjoy

What sort of things aren't covered by them? Its quite hard to decipher from the jargon on their website. Should my engine decide to not be part of this mortal coil any longer, would they say cover me for a rebuild/replacement?
