Dealer Haggling

Hello,

New poster, long time reader.

I'm at the stage of purchasing a new RS6, however at the ripe old age of 31 this will officially be my first new car and I'm fairly ignorant to the amount of haggling that can be done with a main dealer so I'm looking to you all for some help.

Would it be right to assume that the sales managers can slice cost straight out of the overall package? If so, what sort of overall percentage would be considered a good deal? Or would they be more likely to throw me in certain options in for free?

I'm looking to arrange a longer test drive in the next few weeks afterwards I expect to start the process of placing my order and I'd like to start on the right foot.

Any guidance appreciated!

Regards,

Rob

Step 1 is to get a quote from Drive the Deal, Broadspeed, Orangewheels or similar and get the dealer to 'sharpen their pencils' accordingly.
Step 2, time your approach near to quarter end...
Further steps to follow I imagine from the others...

Available discount on RS6 has been well discussed. Have a gander at the C7 forum.

You'll need to take finance to attract the biggest discount.
