Home Link - Garage Door

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has managed to get the Home Link working with their garage door and if so how did they do it as no matter what I try it wont work for me.

Gone through the Audi instructions time and time again and also followed the garage door info for programing a remote - no joy at all

What frequency does your garage door operate at? You might find that you don't have the latest HL hardware/software. I had his before and added some extra kit to my door opener to support the necessary frequency.

Frequency is 868.3 MHz if that helps?

Hmm, think that's the problem frequency.

Have you followed steps on homelink.com?

If you haven't already check the software version of your HL. There's a button sequence which then flashes the LED so many times to return the version. Google should aid you with the sequence, I cannot recall it.

If you're below version 7 then this is definitely the problem.

Oh-yey managed to get it working

Called Homelink and had a chat with them, they advised new batteries for the remote and then to press and hold for about 7 seconds the remote and to do it several times.

Managed to get the car to say it had accepted the code but it would not work - did this 3 times and nothing so was getting frustrated but then on the 4th attempt I held the remote very close to the Audi rings on the front grill and hey presto it works
