Bubbling Paint in roof channels. Audi warranty?

Been on this forum for awhile and only just seen a mention for this now  as its a more common problem than I realised. I've had my C5 RS6 for a couple of years and its always had bubbling near the roof rails which hasn't got any worse, could be due to keeping it under cover. I maybe wrongly assumed that as the car is now 10 years old it'd be up to me to bear the brunt of rectifying it.

I'm not one to play the system or try and milk it but as I'm the third owner and the roof has never been resprayed and all but one service stamp is Audi do you think its still covered by their paint/corrosoon warranty?

Can anyone give me advice before I waste anymore time in getting it sorted?

Thanks in advance!

Worth asking mate, Audi are normally good about this sort of thing but ask Audi UK not a dealer.

If it's never got any worse in the few years that you've had it how come you want to get it felt with now ?
Might be best left as is, might open a can of worms having a small section of the roof repainted. If Audi were to agree to sort it I can't see them paying to have the whole roof painted.

Mine has a little patch of what looks like paint/lacquer dripped in the roof channel (though could obviously be indication of corrosion underneath), and when I was in at the VW/Audi body Shop getting my arch rust bubbles looked at for warranty work the investigator guy quite straight-forwardly told me that the piece was trim, so isn't covered at all. Having said that, I'll need to give them a call back as they said it usually takes a week to get an appointment booked and that's been a shade over 6 months now.

in Australia the corrosion warranty is 12 years

check your owners manual

I was lucky enough to have audi contribute half to repair the roof on my B5 after 12 years & 6 months

talk to your favourite dealer

comes down to relationships and how you go about it
