Inchcape Warranty

Post by CRSRS » Thu Aug 15, 2013 5:52 pm

I know there have been numerous posts on warranty companies and the difficulty with non Audi. Just thought worthwhile sharing experience of Inchcape. Took this as an additional 2 years to the Audi warranty when I purchased my RS4 Avant back in 2010.
Having not used the warranty in the last two years I knew I had to have my car serviced and Aux Rad fixed as was leaking. Took it into Ayr Audi for service, new discs and pads all round and general check over.
Came back as requiring replacement of both Aux Rad, 4 parking sensors and leaking oil pipes(no surprise there).
Inchcape immediately said the Rads and sensors would be covered, so looking at £1300 to replace cooler and pipes.
I remembered reading on here that Paul had his oil cooler and pipes replaced by Inchcape on warranty so after a quick call to them they sent out engineer and approved replacement of both pipes and cooler. :bigblink:
Car now back today after service, MOT, new brakes all round, new Aux Rads, Oil cooler and pipes all for the grand total of £1900.....what a bargain!
Now thinking might give Inchcape a call and renew.

Big thanks to Paul for allowing me to use him as a precedent. :beerchug:

I know the dealers get a hammering sometimes however Chris in Ayr Audi played a blinder with the engineer. :biggrin3:

Happy to be of help.

Really pleased to hear you got it sorted Colin and at no cost yourself too, I will certainly be renewing mine when it is due next year.
