S4 B8 S-Tronic gearbox issue

Post by saintS400 » Wed Mar 13, 2013 7:15 pm

I have had some previous issues with my S-Tronic gearbox which I thought were fixed with the replacement of the Mechantronic unit. My gearbox is still not right though.

Last Monday & again today the limited drivability has come up on the DIS. Last Monday I stopped the car, restarted & all was reset & seemed fine so I thought it may just be a glitch. Tuesday morning it showed up again, I carried on to work, parked up & when I started it later it had reset again.
The box is still not back to its best. It clonks into first sometimes & you can still feel the down changes on the last couple of gears. I emailed West London Audi to let them know & this afternoon I took my car in so they could have a look. They plugged it in & it showed a possible actuator fault so they want my car in so they can have a proper look.

In the meantime has anybody else had this issue or any idea what it could be??
