If Kumho KU31s are about £80 each, it is worth bearing in mind that GSD3s can be had for about the same (I paid £84 fitted per corner a couple of months ago)

Sounds good. Where were the goodyear GSD3's from?

No ones commented on wear of the Toyos yet?

I've had three sets of Kumhos now, from the stupidly cheap 711s, through to the ku15 semi race tyres which are not recomended to be used in heavy rain or snow (gotta love that...).

I thought this was nonsense until I drove home last night and nearly spun the S4 on a roundabout....I blame the H&Rs. Confidence inspiring, then some.

I looked for some GSD3s but cheapest I was quoted for 18s was £107ea.

;-)

They are all very good considering the cost of the tyres.

I have a pair of ku31s on the front currently (couldn't get ku15s at short notice) and they are superb wet or dry.

Thanks Kevin,

That helps. Any indicatin of how many miles you got on them?

On tyretest.com the Kumho's Ku31 have done quite well. So have the goodyears and pilot sports. All around the smae mark.

i have toyo t1r fitted all round for £512 at my local tyre place only had them on for 1000 miles but they are amazing in the wet as i found out last night i think with an s4 you have to either put up with short life on good pricey tyres or loose grip on cheap ones. tyres are like oil you get what you pay for i have found

I have KU31's on my S4, they are the extra load ones. Had them on for 3 months now an im well impressed, cost under £400 for the lot. Had mich PS2's on before which are only slightly better allround but cant compare them when the kumho's come in at this price.
