Just got Warranty Direct for 48/mnth

Tesco won't provide a warranty for any car over 3 litres. That includes most Audi models

Warranty direct get a big vote of thanks from Me.

I have had numerous DRC problems (Audi Warranty replaced all Four last Year less than 10,000 miles ago and repressurised it twice, once at my expense but it was still rubbish) and took the car up to Unit 20 for Grizz to have a look and sure enough Two shockers were leaking.

Grizz dealt with Warranty Directs Engineer and they agreed to pay for the Two shocks and a valve replacing £1110.95 in all.

Audi were out of stock of the parts required so I dipped into my pocket for the DRC to be ripped out and dumped in the skip and replaced with H&R coilovers (an extra £338.00).

After the engineer had left Grizz found a leaking intercooler and Warranty Direct were happy to let Grizz replace this without even sending out an engineer. Cost £509.00.

I had to pay for the repairs initially (this was the only bit I didn't like !) but I had a Cheque from Warranty Direct on My doormat within 10 days for £1570.83 which is the full amount less my excess of £50.00.

The policy cost £800.00 ish so a real bargain as I still have 9 months of cover left !!

The Coilovers alone are a vast improvement on the DRC (next job on the list is a set of Hotchkis ARB's).

Warranty Direct put in writing that I would be allowed to replace Audi parts for aftermarket components which makes it a much more flexible cover than Audi's who will not replace their rubbish with anything else and want the work carrying out by their bonehead technicians, not to mention Audi's policy being at least £500 more expensive.

Hopefully now the car will spend more of its time on the road than going back and forwards to Audi workshops and waiting for parts to arrive..
