Second Part of the work - Garage to ...Pinball Room

Post by gdavison » Sun Jul 07, 2013 8:30 am

After having the 3 bay barn garage built earlier in this thread, RS6 and other cars now housed away .. Phase 2 of the plan. Convert existing garage in house into games room

Walls and Ceiling insulated .. Walls being covered in "GarageTek System"

Interior all done, floor down, GarageTek units on wall - They just clip into the slots on the wall so can go anywhere and be moved, loads of shelves, cupboards and hooks ot select from

Pinballs rescued from Storage

Starting to get them in place

Finished - time for a beer and a few games!

Now everyone's going to comment on what they think should be in there, I think it's awesome by the way.

Now you'll have to go and buy something iconic like this guy did with the 512 and worship everyday!

Please do not tell me you own an Adam's Family, I'll hate you for life.

/EDIT just clocked the photos.
Indy - probably the most intense multiball, ever.
Twilight - I loved the top deck mini-table and the bonkers 'ramic ball.

I might still hate you, for your good taste in pinball, sir. I need to start my collection (again), back in Oz I had "Hook" and a fully restored "Black Knight" (coolest pinny, ever). While I was in high school, I worked in an arcade fixing pinnies and building up video game cabs. I've got a converted arcade cab in the office running mame. An "Adam's Family" would fit in perfectly.

The "Whitewater needs to go and we get a Adams Family" debate is an eternal on in the house .. If ever I spot a Adams Family going I'd do it ..

AFs have been thinning out considerably over the last four years or so, any I've seen advertised on the Tiniternet will be there to just pull in traffic. Oddly, I played a Whitewater last Friday (there's a bar full of pinball machines on Middlesex st just off Bishops Gate). I hadn't played Whitewater in at least 15 years, it's certainly a top 10 table, only set up a little too steep. The bar also has an Adam's, a Playboy, TZ, an Elirva and an AC/DC. There are no hire stickers so I assume the bar owns/maintains, I'll have to ask next time I'm there. I have room in the office for a pinball but I bet I'd bust my balls maintaining it, I'd rather have it all to myself at home.

Do you run any mods on your machines? The AF machines are even better with a few choice mods.
No matter where you go, there you are.
