Tyre Pressue

Post by Swanee » Fri Dec 27, 2013 12:02 pm

Hi all, Im sorry is this has come up a million and one times but is there a definitive recommended tyre pressure for a B7 RS4 Cabriolet?

Im running at 35psi at all corners, only asking as I had 'low pressure' warning come on yesterday as I was driving back from Oxford so topped up the pressure to 35psi and after 10mins the warning went off. Is this usual?

Cheers,

theres loads of threads about this.... and i've tried a few different ones. broadly:

The front needs more pressure (it has the engine in it!)
people run anywhere from 33-40 it seems

I personally run whats on the door for my avant - which is 38 front & 35 rear on 235/35/19s (IIRC)

so if I were you, id check your door and based on your wheels, go with whatever they suggest - but always put a couple more PSI in the front.

Thanks S4WON, seems like there's no real definitive so I suppose I'll try a few different levels and see what's best.
