RS4 and a Cayenne

Err, no (well not yet anyway ). I brought the RS4 after having previously been quoted on a Cayenne. The Wife didn't want to spend as much dosh as the Cayenne was going to cost...

The way things are going with this offshore business I may just take you up on that offer.

And this year the quote from our current insurer to add a Group 7 diesel car to either policy is between £1,200 and £1,300! Ouch! Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to have taken the free insurance last year!

I'll try Diamond and Carole Nash etc. But any other ideas gratefully received!

We've got the RS2 and S3 insured with Frizzells (through the CSMA). Rang for a quote on a couple of cars we were looking at and by adding the car to one of the existing policies (and covering us both for Social, Domestic and Pleasure + business use) the additional premium was between £350 and £400. That included an introductory discount given we already insured two cars with them. We're both over 25, with maximum NCD and clean licences.

As it turns out, we've decided to go with a car that comes with a year's free insurance. So we can leave worrying about additional insurance costs until next year.

Carole Nash gave me a good quote for the RS2 on a classic policy but I can't live with the mileage and business use restrictions. Adrian Flux have given me a much more competitive quote for a new policy for the diesel - including business use. I'll check with a couple of other insurers/brokers but will probably go with Adrian Flux.
