Anyone had to challenge the Audi paint warranty yet, how long is it and what does it cover?
Cheers

Paint warranty

I had some of what I can only describe as crazing on my S4 door, looked like the paint underneath had started breaking up, but the clear coat was still intact. only a small patch, and didn't really show.
I asked about claiming on the warranty, and was told no, it wouldn't be covered, since it wasn't really noticable, I just left it.
Do you have problems with yours John?

The wording is
Any damage to paint caused by manufacturing or body defects, I think it can be lumped into: rust where the source is under the paint and not caused by stone chips or accident damage, fading of the original paint and laquer or crazing on plastic parts and holes caused by rust from internal source. The terrorist is right, 6 years on the paint and 12 on the body. As all the panel are galvinised, there should not be any rust, certaily untreated stonechips just stay as they are.
