1 year extended warranty from Audi = £789.00 inc vat for as near as original warranty, only thing it does not cover is wear and tear and wheels, oh and clutch unless it is contaminated with oil........ :(

I paid £859 for a one year extended Audi approved warranty this week for my S4. Then, the day after extending this, I get a renewal letter through the post telling my current policy is due to expire (true it has one month left), and saying I CAN EXTEND FOR £757.

needless to say I've asked my Audi dealer for £100 back!

West London Audi Warranty

Post by levron » Mon Mar 29, 2004 3:12 pm

Just extended my RS4 warranty for 12 months at West London Audi. They said that Audi have standardised warrany renewals and it is based on Engine size.

If I extend the warranty before the expiry of the Audi 3 year warranty then it is £757 inc VAT for the fourth year. If I renew the warranty after it has expired then I will have to pay an additional £120 inspection charge even though the car was supplied and serviced by them!!!!!!!

I asked about year 5 and it was about £880 inc vat.

I was quoted £905 including vat for 1 year. They wanted to know the engine size !!

John,

Thats interesting. It seems all dealers have their own 'Audi Approved' extended. I was told that the warranty for £905 was the same as the manufacturer's.

I bought my car at Beechwood but I don't have it serviced there. If I take out the warranty with Beechwood, do I have to have it serviced there? Who did you talk to there John?
