rant and rave

Post by bazza » Wed Jan 21, 2004 9:46 pm

I feel i need to get somthing off my chest.

I have been looking for another S4 for a few weeks and i decided to go and llok at two today. One was at Swifts (david underwood) and the other was a Fontain. I decided to travel all the way to Sheffield to have a look at a silver 2000 S4 with satnav. I got there after three hours of driving and had a look at the car. The interior and exterior were stunning and could not fault it, but then he started it up and i almost cryed. There was so much blue and white smoke comming out the exhaust and the engine sounded like the pistons had been replaced with sledge hammers. They told me it was like that because it had sat there for a long time, so i let them take it round the block, which took 15 min and it came back the same, if not worse.

Once the car was back the chap said that it was very strange that the car was like this and it didnt do it last night, i replied what do you mean last night, you told me it had been sitting here for ages. He just stood there, shook his head and said what can i say "sorry". Well after i had restrained my self from putting my hand round his throat, i walked to the car and drove three hours (again) back to london to see mark at fontain, I saw a 00 S4 azure blue, and decided to put a deposit on it, At least this one has an engine which has not blown up

So after all this ranting and raving i have one bit of advice,

DONT BUY A 2000 SILVER S4 FROM SWIFTS, ITS SHAGGED !!!!!
