I live in Jersey, and our only Audi Dealer Five Oaks Audi (which also has the the VW, Seat, Diahatsu, porsche, ferrari, aston, lamborghini - sure there is more) has gone bust.
Now this would not normally bother me, as they are an incommpetent bunch of tw@ts">tw@ts</a>, having just taken 7 months to replace a bumper (along with other problems in the past) however they still have not replaced the spotlamps, or the fuel gauge problem I was having (and the previous owner 6 months before me!).
My problem is the extended warranty on my 99 S4, does anyone know if it is likely to be direct with Audi, or is it standard course for audi dealers to sell their own or third party warranties ???
I know I should know, but the staff were that <a href="mailto:cr@p that they couldn't even get me a warrenty book in 7 months of owning the car, even though I pestered them every 2 or 3 weeks....
I am just glad it's Christmas, and they haven't been paid for over a month and a half, sounds callous I know but when you have had the hassles I have had !!!!

Re: Five Oaks Audi
Extended warranties are through a company called Aon. It should offer pretty much the same level of cover as Audi, with one or two exceptions - exhaust manifolds being one of those things.
Re: Five Oaks Audi
I live in Guernsey and Five Oaks have been impeccable with Service and attitude with my RS6 only let down by Audi at times.
I think you should look at the greater picture as they are only the man in the middle.
And I would also think after your comments they are very glad you have not got your parts as there will be some people who will not have a great christmas with this happening.
and just a thought Who do think will be the parts people when it all starts up again I would guess many of the old staff shoot yourself in the foot i would say!
Very sad to hear someone who thrives in others misfortune

Well great, thats your experience of them in Guernsey, but I am telling you that Five Oaks in Jersey have a very poor reputation, yes this might in part be because of VAG, but in my experience the level of customer care is the problem, that has nothing to do with Audi/VAG, it has to do with the staff that were dealing (or not)with my cars at the time.
Why have I paid for a warranty to be transfered, but not recieved any paperwork, and when I phone Aon they have no record of my car at all in their systems, let alone in mine or the previous owners names ?
Why does it take approx a year to get an S4 bumper down and fitted, (3 times they got an A4 one down - twice they painted it before realising it was wrong)
Why have I not got spotlamps fitted to my car after 7 months of asking ?
Why do I not have a bellypan fitted, even though the car has been in 5 or 6 times in the past 7 months, and ever time I asked them to fit my belly pan that they forgot before ?
Why could they not find/trace a fuel gauge problem in 7 months, it took me 5 mins to get the (probably correct) answer on this forum ?
Why did it take 8 months to get a right hand side door lock for my old 20v quattro ? everytime a left hand lock arrived ???
Why could I not get a straight answer on whether a boot lid paint defect could be repaired on warranty ??
Why did I have to chase them every 2 weeks to try and get an answer for any of the above, yet in all that time they never once phoned me to say sorry sir this is why it's taking so long, or sorry sir for the inconvienence but....?
I think you should look at the greater picture as they are only the man in the middle.
I understand that , but they are the man that is supposed to make life dealing with a manufacturer as painless as possible, not more painful.....

Maybe I was a bit harsh in my post, maybe not, I have not said anything here that I have not or would not say in too their faces. They have made the pleasure of owning such a fine car as my S4 a chore during the whole time I have owned it.
I don't think I should put up with cr@p levels of service for a premium price just cos they are the only dealer here, in future, if/when they start up again and the service/support is not good enough then I will get the car looked after elsewhere, maybe Guernsey if the service there is impecable or maybe I will use it as an excuse to take it to the UK or the continent for it's checkups..... but if anyone asks me about my posts on the rs246.com forums from Five Oaks Jersey then I will tell them what I wrote, after all how else can their learn from their mistakes ????

Sometimes when things ruin something that should be a joy you have to vent your anger somewhere, it is my belief that if people were getting top level service (as they should at the prices they were charging) then they would not have been in such a bad financial state....
Did you know that many people who purchased cars recently have had debt collectors turn up to repossess their cars, becuase Five Oaks had not settled the debts (or something like that), how fair is that ? I heard of one guy who lost a brand new Volvo and a brand new VW because of this, he is probably well over 20k out of pocket, I know another guy who is apparently about 30k out of pocket.... I bet they are not wishing anyone from Five Oaks a merry christmas.
But yes you are probably right I was being a bit harsh.... they do deserve the money that they have worked for already, whether they should get their jobs back is another matter......
Cheers
BTW how mature are you calling me a ??? it's a forum so therefore I can voice my opinions, that maybe different from yours oh donkey bloke no need to start calling me names
