Vagparts

Post by yorkie » Thu Jun 26, 2008 6:21 pm

Anyone else on here experienced problems with these guys?

Used them three times, first order took 3 weeks to arrive and when I chased it after 2 was told "part is currently out of stock" - well thanks for letting me know :x

Second turned up within a week.

Third is now going to be delivered tomorrow to my home address which was not the requested one as I won't be there. As with the previous orders I requested it to be delivered to my work address which they manged ok before. Now it is going to cost me £5.50 to have it re-directed :x

My friend has had problems with them in the past in regards to delivery times vs urgency of goods. My advice is if you need an item quickly, best go to the dealers or at least check about elsewhere for availability.

I've used em a couple of times cos they do a good price on genuine parts, but must admit have had to wait a couple of weeks for a few things. Iwas told this is because if they don't have them in stock they come from germany, to them, and then on to the customer.

they are generally cheaper than main dealers, but main dealers are faster. depends what your priority is really. I havent had any problem with the service before though.

Used them loads. The get a container from Germany full of the parts people have ordered. Sometimes it takes a while. Never had a wrong part or a delivery gone wrong but I have had to wait occasionally.

Found them very helpful. As said already it depends on your priority due to parts coming from Germany. Prices are generally good. Has a miss pick once and got a MAP sensor instead of a MAF sensor but they were quick to rectify. 8/10

I agree with most of the above. VagParts are a good outfit, but their delivery times are not the quickest. They are also not always the cheapest, but I usually find that they are honest - if they think you'd get a better deal through a stealer then they tell you so.

I have never had a wrong delivery from VagParts.

Can only echo with what has been said by Dippy.

Well, e-mailed them with last night to say I wasn't happy and that I would call them today to discuss what they were going to do.

Called them today and basically received the "we are only human so we do make mistakes" response - must remember that next time I have an irate customer on the phone chasing his order!

Did offer to refund the charge if I have to pay for re-direction but I would not be hopeful that this would actually happen and no apology either.

Only used them to avoid the sneer you get from the salesmen in the showroom at the dealers when you walk through to the parts counter.

Won't be using them again though.

That's a shame - I have used them a couple of years ago - Ordered some new parts last week, only hope I get the service I'm expecting.

I can also echo above - used them no problems one part on backorder, once I emailed them they kept me informed all the time. Would definitely use again.

Well thanks to our friendly Parcelforce depot I got the part delivered to work for nothing so no need to bother Vagparts.

Had I needed to go on the Parcelforce website to arrange re-delivery it would have cost me the £5.50 but instead I rang the depot who contacted the driver who was still in the area of my work so he made a detour - top marks to Parcelforce

I was probably a bit harsh before as it was Monday morning when I called so maybe the "customer friendly" side of the guy I spoke to hadn't kicked in yet.

Might use them again but only for non-urgent stuff.
