Not had it serviced yet but i have had some warranty work done:- Paint, all 4 wheels replaced and not a sniff of misconduct, i,ve had a couple of audis now and the parts bloke used to be at VW way back when i was heavily into that scene so i guess he knows my picky nature all too well, i get serious discount from this guy and over the period of about 5 yerars i restored a UR quattro and if that wasnt enough to send him crazy nothing will..........................

Just my personal experience so i thought i,d pass it on............i,m looking into B7 RS4 callipers and discs to see how much i can get them for so if anyone has a requirement for these i,ll see what he can do them for.
Chalky, keep us posted mate, we will be interested in the prices.

audijohn,

Do you have part numbers ? i have some that i have had off of here but now misplaced, personally i want the B7 ones as opposed to the RS6 ones i,m not sure of the difference ? but they gotta be a whole heap better than whats not stopping me at present !

Any info would be good and i,m sure they will be at an excellent price,

Any way so as not to hijack the very worthwhile thread thats going on here i,ll get off now if this takes off we will have to move it to the relevant section,

Vindis Audi, top class technicians ruined - in my opinion, by pompous and couldn't care less unless your car is brand new attitude.

Talked down to me as if I had just cr**ped on the doormat when I took my 8 year old car there for a service at 95 quid plus vat an hour.

The people in many of the dealerships are lovely, but they don't seem to get it.
B burn, Preston, Stock port, Warrington, Lancaster, Bolton.

Really liked the people at Bolton and still go there for parts.
Also used Chester they are good people and have fitted after market parts. Cheater were so good they were considered to be friends.

The main thing to realise is that the dealers are main stream and you are lucky to get friendly help from them, especially when they know you want to mod your car.. They do their best.
Go independent for best results.

Totally agree most are reasonable for the mainstream cars, however RS/S cars are out of their league.

Links Audi in Maccelsfield thought a cam belt change was JUST that and omitted to replace anything else!!!

When I challenged them they lost all the car's service history.......S@@te service and S@@te customer services. Oil & filter change = 158 GBP :assflash:

Worthing Audi (West Sussex):
- Customer Service = 2 / 10
- Technical Ability = 1 / 10

Brighton Audi (East Sussex):
- Customer service = 8 / 10
- Technical Ability = 9 / 10

Took my car tor Worthing for a routine 100k mile service, with a day of it coming back massive overheating. Tried to get them to sort but they just plain refused. Offered a possibly "well, it could be this, but we'd have to take car apart to be sure and that would be expensive" diagnosis so after failing to get anything out of them i went to Brighton Audi (reccomended, a good friend of mine used to work there and sys the two master tech's they have are among the best). Turned out to be water pump but Brighton diagnosed and fixed very quicly. Not for free, but they knocked some money off the labour rate as a gesture of good will which was a bonus as it was nothing to do with them in the first place.

To conclude... Worthing Audi = Rubbish! Brighton Audi = Good :)

Glasgow Audi is a shower of sh** but Ayr Audi has serviced the RS once since we have had it (Dec o6) and given it a FREE mot, so at the time of going to press, so I'll say 7/10.

Ingrams around the corner has known me since i started driving Audis, 2000> and I'll give them 9/10. I get discounts from the service guys and always come clean and tell me anything they find in advance and they dont try and sell me a curved ball either. They KNOW I KNOW the cars and what it needs. Generally they are good but have had a few head scratching sessions with a WR quattro and if they dont know they are honest and say so.
Its handy having 2 dealers so close to each other as now I play them off each other, let the best man win.

Glasgow Audi (@Braehead) are SH1TE

Twice I called on them for technical assistance. On the first occasion they actually suggested I need a 'blank cheque' to get to the bottom of the issues. On the 2nd they couldnt find an oil leak after an hours investigation, and asked for 6hrs time to pull the front of the car apart.................... ended up sending the car down to Doug @ MRC, who found in leak in 10 mins.

I put in writing to the service manager. Twice they refuted the allegations, actually insinuating I misunderstood the first one of them!! Highly unprofessional!

Hatfield Audi - service and Customer Care 9/10.
Service manager there used to be on the tools and knows a great deal about these cars. Senior tech there also knows his stuff.

I'd also rate Peterborough Audi highly, though I haven't used them since Hatfield Audi opened (closer to home).

The service manager at Peterborough and the service manager at Hatfield both used to be at the same dealership in Hitchin.

Reading Audi. 5/10. After an issue on my S4 which I thought involved cambelt they changed. They diagnosed for free. This is after one of the muppets crashed the car on a road test(before I bought the car) and I have since learnt by the new owner that Doug has said the cam timing is out!

Swindon Audi. 4/10. Didn't want to deal with me about the suspected cam belt issue, but since have made up for it a bit with a discount on parts and a free diagnostics check. I will be going there soon with a corrosion issue. Will post when I do!

Agreed....... Robinsons Audi Norwich are pretty rubbish. The service dept. is prohibitively expensive and the techs are incapable of diagnosing faults if you can't plug a computer into it. That said, the parts dept are enthusiastic re S and RS, competitively priced, and are very helpful.

Service dept 5/10
Parts dept 9/10
Sales dept ??/10

The last service and other work was completed without any problems.

Plus, I've just taken the car in for it's MOT with them and was told it was FREEEEEE as I have had my service done by them.
