Cruise Control

Is there any reason why my cruise control would suddenly stop working while i was driving ??

It did it to me this morning

there has been some posts about this in the RS6 section..im sure there was talk about the brake light switch..

any faults stored ?
1999 S4 bi turbo imola yellow,grey pearl wheels,now with KO4's.

Checking the Ross-Tech Wiki only shows the one DTC for the cruise control fault.

Mine does this, its the switch in the indicator stork....

If you can get some electrical contact spray in there it should fix it......

I dont think the first code is anything to do with the cruise.

Sometimes if I slide the slider to the right to accelarate to a faster cruise speed, the cruise will cut out, as its obviously detecting a dodgy connection on the slide switch so cutting the cruise for safty reasons....
