I'm currently looking into mod-friendly insurance policies since my renewal is due in three weeks time on my V plate S4.
Mods to be done include B7 RS4 calipers/discs/pads, H&R coilovers, ARB's, DTS and a full Milltek. Perhaps a remap by the end of the year too . . .
I'm 39 and have 10 years NCB without any convictions, leave the car on the drive (LE2 post code) and do 15K a year, have valued the car below £10K.
Admiral have quoted me £455 (£400 excess) for a standard S4 and only £508 with all the mods, caveat being that they will not cover "like for like" with the upgrades.
Greenlight have quoted me £860 (£500 excess) with the advantage of having like for like cover on the mods.
Adrian Flux said £800 for the same.
Quoteline mentioned £750 with a view to knocking it lower once they get more info but I have no information as to their quality of service.
My question is should I chance going with Admiral with the standard parts clause or bite the bullet and go with Adrian Flux or any other reputable broker?
Any experiences or other information would be most appreciated!

RE: Insurance cover
A site sponsor is Noel something (click the link), but they were pants for me! If you search "Insurance", lots of threads will appear and seach those for other company names.

Well your Greenlight price is not great mate. I am paying £550 with some mods and have already been quoted an extra £40 for 18" alloys and an MRC remap. Thats with 5 Years NCB and 2 x SP30 speedings. Not to mention my excess is half that too!
Other one to try I would recommend who came pretty close but the excess was too high for me was A-Plan.

Thanks bobbler, I've actually sent off their quote form online so I'm awaiting their reply . . .
RE: Insurance cover
I got a good deal with A-Plan thanks to Rob Suter at the Thatcham branch who specialise in peformance/modified policies.

Next week most of the above will be fitted by Doug @ MRC.
