B6 S4 or B5 RS4

I have said it before, I think S4 V8 is a better car than the 2.7 RS4 in standard trim.
Yes you can make the RS4 handle stop and go VERY well but is a older car and it does show in standard spec.
The standard S4 V8 has similar go, but it handles, goes and stops very well for a off the shelf car, I think better than a stock RS4 especially the handling. There are some issues cam chains and fuel consumption 20mpg, you can see the improvements in the chassis etc. The big plus side is the fine sound they make. A quick remap will see large gains on the RS4 not so with the V8.

The RS4 will hold is money better than the S4 look at the RS2 for an example.

As I have disscussed with Leon many times a B6 with a good spec RS4 engine would be nice. But maybe not the best investment !

Not a chance matey !!! Ive driven and raced a b7, and it was pretty much the same as a standard b5

Id go for a rs4 b5, but topping would rather have a cheaper faster modded b5 s4
