Reline Clutch, cheap!

Post by viperbl » Fri Dec 08, 2006 12:41 pm

Found a company that say they will "reline" the paddles on the new Sachs clutch I have for 55 quid, they would also reface the flywheel for 25 quid.

This to me seems a really good deal, would mean that effectively I could get a new clutch/flywheel for very little cost? Would I be correct in thinking this??

Considering the cost of a new Sachs Clutch/Flywheel (around 1400 quid) this is worthwhile doing!

My clutch and flywheel are fine, I just thought I would look into what I need to do when they do wear out ...

Viper, don't laugh if I'm being thick here... but, do you have paddle shifts on yours? Only reason I ask is you mentioned "paddles"!!
01 RS4, Milltek, Dahlback Racing rears, RS6 fronts and a few bits to be added.

Also, as I hate driving, my toy to play with - a Honda CBR F Sport

:D thats ok, when I say Paddle's, I am talking about the paddles on the clutch itself, for example the standard RS4 clutch has a circular plate all the way around, instead of 'paddles', see the pictures, I will try and get one of my old RS4 clutch to show you the difference.

RS4 Clutch/Broken

Post by viperbl » Fri Dec 08, 2006 2:24 pm

Alps, here is my RS4 clutch, which as you can see is broken, but is a plate as opposed to 'paddles'.
