Xenon Bulbs

Just wondered if anyone has any idea whether the xenon bulb can be replaced or whether it is a complete new headlight unit to my wifes B6 1.8 t sport. I thought that I had heard that these were supposed to last 10 years and as car is a 51 plate its only 5 years old

Worrying that it's gone so early.
